The Origin. Inspiration finds an idea.

It all started from my own life long love for movement of the body. Later on, during intensive years spend on dancing, yoga and other sport activities the idea started to grow. What kind of training clothes I really want to use and why certain type of leggings and tops tented to be picked up time after time?

It was all about how I felt. How they felt in movement. How comfortable and confident I felt to perform my best. However, I noticed that among those I found most functional, there were not so many options visually. So, I decided to create my own versions of functional yet comfortable training clothes with personal touch.

In addition, I wanted to combine my creative vision to sustainable way of using clothing. AnyOrigin® designs are not only functional sport clothes but also versatile activewear. The hole collection is designed to mix & match with mentality; use more - waste less.

Original movement collection is inspired by the basic elements in constant flow of change.

AnyOrigin® clothing is designed to move you at your original style.

Sustainability at AnyOrigin®

Organic, ecologic, recycled material, sustainable made, ethically made, fare trade etc. Yes, all these sound good. We at AnyOrigin believe that clothing industry need to be revaluated what comes all of these facts. The harsh fact is tough, that these words are all too wide open field to play. Even tough meaning well, thinking to be at the top of the trend of what is acceptable way of producing clothing now a days, too often in means of practice equals nothing but words.

Recycled material - that you so often see in composition but never really get a specification about the sources, methods or % of the recycled material - is complex theme and does not really exist in fabric composition in the way that consumers and even some clothing manufactures consider in means of being recycled. Fabric is either recycled as hole material or not at all. The fabric that claims to have some part of "recycled" material (normally polyester), is hardly ever true. What comes to use of 100% recycled fabrics in means of having being processed industrially from its original source for reuse,  is relatively rare still in mass production of clothing.

Well, but at least you need to try, or even small quantity at recycled material is better than nothing, one might think. Well it can be, in the future when the technology for producing recycled materials reaches the point when it is profitable in both sustainable way and cost effectively.  Because the cold fact is; people are buying if it is affordable.

To said that, we at AnyOrigin are not trying to put ourselves at any other position than all other clothing manufacturers, we are also at the front of the same dilemma of how can we be clothing manufacturers with sustainable and ethical grid? With a study  background of sustainable product design and three years of product implementation we at AnyOrigin have come to the conclusion that at the moment the most sustainable at clothing production means to use high quality materials overall for long lasting life cycle - in comparation to quick disposable fashion that is made out of poor quality materials with no intention to last consumption.

Combining the hole production process in one production line  as short transportation chain as possible from fabric production to print implementation to end product is reducing transportation chain already at production and is actually one of the most important sustainability aspect to consider.

What comes to use of recycled materials, using the source material as hole (no industrial distinction processes) is in reality considered more sustainable than having to industrially treat and remanufacture recycled material out of its source. At AnyOrigin this means using textile industry cutting waste or other "left over material" that otherwise would be wasted or needed to be disposed industrially.

 At AnyOrigin® production we are:

· Minimizing the transportation chain using production lines with own or local fabric production and  combining the print implementation of the print fabric at the same production line than the clothing manufacturing.

· Using high quality durable materials and securing the quality of the end products overall to be as long lasting in use as possible.

· Using textile industry cutting waste for certain part of the collection, meaning left over bits from other textile manufacturers. At this way, we are giving the left over bit that otherwise would go to disposal process a second cycle of life as a new piece of clothing.

These methods are not only the question of being sustainable but are in most cases cost effective so that the end user - person who wants to be conscious at reasonable cost - can afford to do so. We at AnyOrigin believe that the sustainability should not be the reason to over price products. We believe that combining the quality, reasonable price and sustainability aspect is possible. And of course, we are going with eyes wide open looking constantly new innovative ways to be a part of the sustainable clothing production family!
